THE VIBETECH STORY

VibeTech is based on technology developed by it's founder to build bone density in astronauts.

Our Mission

To restore and enhance human quality of life by harnessing our world-class expertise in therapeutic vibration to provide cutting edge mobility innovations and solutions in healthcare.

Our Vision

To become the recognized global leader in transforming the field of therapeutic vibration with a continuous stream of breakthrough innovations throughout the healthcare industry that are life-altering.

Disuse atrophy and biomechanics expert Jeff Leismer, PhD (Founder and CEO of VibeTech, Inc., a NASA Spinoff venture) initially aimed to solve the problem of bone loss during space flight. Astronauts can lose up to 20 percent of their bone mass during a single year in space, thus limiting the duration of missions. Performing weight-bearing exercise, which prevents the loss of bone, is not an option in zero gravity.

While working on a solution, Dr. Leismer discovered that properly tuned and delivered vibration to the lower extremity muscles activated a natural stretch reflex. With just a 10-minute application, his invention could completely fatigue leg muscles without any physical exertion on the part of a user.

He later realized that vibration could be used to help people who cannot tolerate traditional weight-bearing physical exercise. Now, VibeTech, Inc., a NASA Spinoff company funded in part by National Institute of Health and NASA, is revolutionizing the field of rehabilitation with its patented, clinically-tested neuromusculoskeletal stimulation equipment designed to help people regain their strength and independence, regardless of their degree of immobility.

VibeTech has performed over a dozen research projects and clinical studies funded by NASA, NIH, public and private foundations, and customers, as well as conducting on-going studies, evaluations, and development projects on a daily basis at its own R&D facility. Each study has been used to perfect the technology and establish best practices in the field to ensure that patients receiving treatment have the best outcomes possible and are more engaged with their therapy and to ensure that caregivers remain as productive as possible while providing the highest level of care possible to their patients.

"I believe the VibeTech Two will become the new gold standard for treatment of numerous maladies and problems with atrophy of the lower extremities. I will suggest widespread deployment of it in hospitals, skilled nursing homes, physical therapy and rehab facilities. I believe that VibeTech has a very promising future."
